outdoors in

i was going through my design files this morning and found a trend-- life. green. the outdoors. i love a color scheme that mimics nature, but it's all the better with actual nature!

sorry for the poor quality on these photos-- most are scans from a design inspiration file i started as a teenager!

this room is so incredible. the sofa and pillow are a bit on the shabby chic side for my taste, but i love everything else about it. i'm obsessed with chandeliers, trunks as sidetables, and mirrored trays.

this shower, located in the center of a top-floor loft, actually is outside! the area past the doors is open to the sky.

i love the neutral pallet of this outdoor room. rustic and romantic. doesn't that settee look comfy?

this window garden is a great use of space.

this kitchen is one of the oldest photos in my design file. i don't love the kitchen itself-- but the windowed backsplash is one of my all-time favorites.

oh, anthro

i could probably write a post about anthropologie every day... but i'm on a mission to re-create these gorgeous (neutral!) outfits stat. not to mention, the backdrop looks like something straight from the brush of my favorite impressionist, jean-baptiste-camille corot.

emma pillsbury

i love glee for two reasons: the music and emma pillsbury. her clothes are amazing. maybe a little too proper and stiff, but amazing.
