canovas collection

Last week I posted a quick mix of fabrics featuring "Misia" by Manuel Canovas. Misia gets a lot of love (as it should) but Canovas has lots of other beautiful fabrics and wallcoverings. They cost a pretty penny, but they sure are nice to look at!

Here are some of my favorites:

quick mix: "misia" by manuel canovas

"Misia" is probably my favorite fabric right now. If I were lucky enough to snag some, here's what I might mix with it.

Misia | Manuel Canovas
Betwixt in Grass/Ivory | Celerie Kemble for Schumacher
Seersucker in Slate | Serena & Lily

Step *Away* from the Florals

Rosa Alba & Swan Lake | Nina Campbell

Maybe it's Valentine's, or the warm weather in the South, or the coming Spring... I am so into fun, uber-girly prints lately. Of course, as soon as I start trying to decorate my home with a guy in mind I become obsessed with girl stuff.

Spray Flowers  & Cut Roses | Kath Kidston

Cath Kidston is the queen of playful English florals. Everything in her shop is so fun and happy. I have this wallpaper on my work computer (still rocking the Chiang Mai Dragon at home). If you need to indulge in a little harmless girly-ness, check out the rest of her free desktop wallpapers here.

Mystery Solved!

One of my favorite Etsy sellers, Liana, solved my fabric mystery. The fabric was manufactured by Chris Stone, a contract and custom finishing mill in L.A. Unfortunately, the company seems to have gone under... which is going to make finding this fabric basically impossible.

Back to the drawing board!

Project: Bench

I don't know what it is, but I have so many decorating project ideas swimming around in my head these days! I like it.  I just ordered a new little bench to re-upholster, and these are some of the fabrics I'm eyeing for the project. Beautiful, no? But so very different.

I love the color and Art Deco fan pattern.
The red floral reminds me of Chiang Mai Dragon.
The mocha floral is such a classic.
I'm crazy about wide stripes, especially in my favorite shade of blue.
Maybe a simple wheat linen with some fun pom pom trim?
The yellow stripes remind me of pretty wallpaper.

Choices, choices!
Do you have a favorite?

Chiang Mai Desktop

I can't believe 2010 is gone already, but I'm so looking forward to what 2011 has in store! One of my goals this year is to surround myself with more inspiring, happy, beautiful things.

One of the things that always makes me smile is Schumacher's Chiang Mai Dragon. I love it. (Who doesn't?) So I put it somewhere it can inspire me every day:

It makes me happy every time I open my laptop.

Here's to an inspiring year!
