Former Generations actress Palesa Mocuminyane is the new presenter of SABC1’s flagship gospel music show, Gospel Gold.
The born-again Christian is replacing TKZee’s, Zwai Bala whose contract was reportedly not renewed after viewers complained about his presenting style.
Featuring top gospel music videos from South Africa, the show airs on SABC1 every Sunday. It has been enjoyed by millions of television viewers for almost 12 years. Over these years, it has remained one of the most loved gospel shows on SABC1.
Mocuminyane who has been actively involved in the local entertainment industry for the past ten years, feels God has finally put her in the place where she truly belongs.
The 34-year-old mother of three says she will take the opportunity to praise and worship with viewers. “I hope I’ll add something to change people’s lives. To me this won’t be about presenting only – it’s more like a ministry and putting God’s word out there to people,” she said in a recent interview with a top newspaper.
A talented actress , Mocuminyane also played the role of Nomsa in the e.tv drama series eKasi: Our Stories – Neighbours.
In addition to her acting career, she runs a successful bridal dress business. Mocuminyane started shooting for Gospel Gold on Tuesday, 05 October 2010.
