Ntsiki Mazwai releases poetry book

Ntsiki Mazwai, the poet and vocalist who first became famous as part of Feela Sista Poetry Collective five years ago, has scored a solo achievement this time around.

Mazwai has published her debut volume of poetry book under the cheeky title Wena. It was launched during the Jozi Book Fair last week.
The anthology is long-awaited. All along she has recited her poetry while fellow poets in the collective, such as Lebo Mashile, Napo Masheane and Myesha Jenkins, have long published their poetry. The anthology, which retails for R145, is sure to raise eyebrows among Mazwai's peers since it deals with youth identity issues in a democratic South Africa.
