South African artists Urban Reign, Freshlyground, Tear Gas, Pro, Dj Cleo, Black Coffee, Proverb and Deep Level have been nominated for Nigeria's Sound City Music Video Awards.
They're competing with top African acts such as Banky W, P-Square, Dama do Bling, Da-Grin, Fally Ipupa, 2Face Idibia and Sarkodie.
The Sound City Music Video Awards awards were created 2 years ago to draw attention to the rise of urban music in Africa. A prestigious event, they have attracted top international musos like Nas and Tic Tac.
