Louie Vega at Bassline tonight.

Louie Vega is set to perform in Johannesburg for one night.

The Club DJ who is dubbed the "the Miles Davis of dance music" will  perform alongside Vinny Da Vinci, JeL, Octave and others at Bassline , Newtown Tonight .

This will make up part of Vega's Soul Heaven Africa Tour.

Vega, whose real name is Luis Fernando Vager first emerged in the mid 1980s as an up-and-coming DJ playing at Bronx and Manhattan hotspots.

In the 1990s Vega and Gonzalez were responsible for some of the most ground-breaking, accessible house music tracks ever made as 'Masters At Work'.

Tickets are going R250 and R400 for VIP.
